Congressman Eric Swalwell Let A Huge Fart Rip On Live TV (Video)

November 18. 2019

39-year-old congressman Eric Swalwell Jr did a television interview today with MSNBC. Swalwell appeared on "HardBall" hosted by Chris Matthews and things went hilariously wrong. Swalwell, a Democrat from California, let out a loud fart on live television. The fart was so forceful it shift Swalwell in his seat.

It gave the appearance Swalwell was trying to do a "silent but deadly" fart but miscalculated the force of the fart that almost sounded like a poo. Some people go by the motto "better out than in." However, this whole episode begs the question, just what are they serving in the congressional cafeterias.

This meme has been circulating on Twitter tonight due to #fartgate (LOL)

Either way, Twitter was full of fart jokes tonight that left many people in hysterics. But not everyone is laughing. Swalwell later stated he did not fart. Swalwell stated in a text message that has been made public, "It was not me!!!" If you say so.

Swalwell sound like Shaggy in the song "It Wasn't Me" and everyone knows he was lying his butt off in that tune. But say Swalwell is telling the truth and it wasn't him, my guess is it was Nancy Pelosi.

A Lawmaker Denied Ripping An Absolutely Enormous Fart On Live Television

Last updated on November 18, 2019, at 9:28 p.m. ET - Posted on November 18, 2019, at 9:03 p.m. ET - In an interview Monday night with MSNBC host Chris Matthews, California Rep. Eric Swalwell appeared to...well, rip an absolutely enormous fart.

"Chris, so far the evidence is uncontradicted that the president used taxpayer dollars to help him cheat an election," he said from the Capitol. The Democrat, who sits on the House Intelligence Committee, appeared to react to the fart with a brief pause, while attempting not to smile.

As the clip of Swalwell quickly circulated on the internet, some began to speculate that the California representative was the one behind the loud flatulence. But in a text to BuzzFeed News on Monday night, Swalwell denied having anything to do with it.  "It was not me!!!!!" he wrote. "Ha. And I didn't hear it when I was speaking."
