Yesterday evening the 2024 Paris Olympics came to a close. The opening ceremony was marred by controversy when social networking erupted after seeing a scene that mocked the historic "Last Supper" regarding Jesus Christ and His disciples. The incident caused a firestorm all over the world.

Christianity is the largest religion in the world. However, the offense was due to one man, artistic director, Thomas Jolly, who stated he was trying to be inclusive. However, the show he put together was insulting not inclusive. He excluded Christians and made a mockery of Christianity. The show was branded offensive by world leaders and countless people on social networking slamming it as blasphemous.

It marred the Olympics for many people. It led to the organizers deleting the opening ceremony from the official website. I love France and I'm sorry one man caused all this trouble. French people took to the internet to complain they too were offended by the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony also featured a man whose testicle had dislodged from his underwear and was showing on screen. Children were present on the stage in close proximity to him. The opening ceremony featured drag queens and a bearded lady. Many were angry at the entire opening because it was sacrilegious and at times explicit, to a global audience that includes many children. The closing ceremony was more tame and age appropriate.
