For several years, I have repeatedly spoken out against gang violence in articles I have published to this website. The progression of time has shown the problem is getting worse. Gang members are adopting more vicious methods of harming and killing others, which is cause for concern.

This week in London, England, innocent 7-year-old boy, Joel Uhrie, was killed in a house fire that is a suspected arson attack. The house was set on fire by a rival gang, targeting his 21-year-old brother, who is known to police, due to criminal activity in gangs.

It is difficult to deal with when an adult is killed in an act of violence. However, it is infuriating when the deceased victim of violence is a child. Whoever is behind the attack that left Joel Uhrie dead, I pray justice will be swift, thorough and devastating for the devastation you have caused, in the crime you have committed against an innocent child, who burned to death.
